A key benefit of membership is the range of specialist network groups that are supported by the BSC. We currently have eleven Specialist Networks that cover areas of criminological and criminal justice interest, from crime statistics to youth justice. Many of these networks hold regular meetings and award prizes. Their members comprise some of the most well-known researchers, educators, activists and policymakers in the UK today. All BSC members are entitled to join and it is no surprise that active participation can lead to further networking and leadership opportunities. If there is an area that interests you, look for the ‘Contact the Network’ link on the following pages to find out more.

The BSC is keen to encourage new interest groups to form.  In the first instance interested parties should contact the chair of the Regional Groups and Specialist Network Committee (via info@britsoccrim.org) who will give advice on forming an organising group and present the matter to the Executive Committee.
